Member ceremonies

Member ceremonies are special events hosted by our President to welcome full Members and Fellows to RCGP. They are held from September through to May. It's a great opportunity for you and your loved ones to celebrate the achievement of attaining FRCGP, MRCGP, MRCGP[INT] or MAP.

North East England Faculty Board November

Our Faculty board meet four times per year in March, June, September and November and is made up of GP volunteers and Lay representatives. We also have representation from local groups such as student's groups, First 5 and AiTs.

Five Key Concerns – Starting Work as a GP

This session is run in conjunction with Wesleyan and will be discussing the options available for working as a GP, and how it can impact your finances (and your plans). We’ll discuss the benefits of each role, and what to look out for as well as looking at key financial plans you should review as part of the change including income protection, mortgages and savings. We’ll also cover the NHS Pension scheme and how that will work.

Gastroenterology | One Day Essentials

Gastroenterology is one of the major medical specialties and accounts for 10% of all appointments in Primary Care. By the end of this conference, attendees will have more confidence in investigating and managing patients presenting with GI and liver problems, which will improve patient care, result in less referrals to gastroenterology services and benefit service issues around the provision of endoscopy.

AKT Preparation Course

This one-day interactive course has been designed for those planning to take the AKT component of the MRCGP. It will assist with your exam preparation and revision for the MRCGP AKT examination, focusing on high yield and difficult curriculum topics, including the topics trainees often forget to include in their revision and help with your exam technique.
