College and leading health experts launch latest Strep-A guidance to support busy GPs

The College has worked with leading health organisations across the UK to publish new guidance on Strep A, bringing everything together in one place to support busy GP teams.

We understand that parents are concerned - and we don’t want to discourage them from seeking help if they think their child has a serious case of Strep A – but we know that many surgeries are struggling to cope with the additional demand on top of the existing workload and workforce pressures in general practice.

We will continue to work closely with colleagues at the UK Health Security Agency, NHS England and Devolved Nations equivalents, and others to ensure that GPs and their teams receive accurate and up-to-date information.

The College thanks hardworking GPs across the UK for everything they are doing to care for and reassure patients.
