GPs urgently need less stick, and more carrot – College Chair


Speaking to The New Statesman, College Chair Professor Kamila Hawthorne warned all political parties against making general practice a political football at the next General Election.

Kamila also raised alarm at the recent “whispers” that the much-anticipated Long-term Workforce Plan will not actually set out the exact number of doctors or healthcare workers needed, which she said, will mean it is “not worth the paper it’s written on”.
