‘We deplore the continued hardship and tragic loss of life’, says College in response to Middle East conflict

The College has issued the following statement, following escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

College Chair Professor Kamila Hawthorne said today:

“We deplore the continued hardship and tragic loss of life in Gaza and Israel and call on all sides to use every humanitarian means possible to ease the suffering of all citizens caught up in this devastating situation. Our hearts go out to you all, as well as to those with family and friends in the region.

“Our thoughts and support are also with our healthcare colleagues who are trying their best to deliver care and services in the most terrible and terrifying conditions imaginable. The College and our members stand in solidarity with you.”
