The RCGP 3- day RCA Preparation Course - 5-7 September 2022

This three-day RCA course aims to improve your consultation skills and as a result pass your RCA. The course offers interactive sessions with experienced trainers and examiners, a highlight being Dr Roger Neighbour, a renowned teacher on the skills of communication within the GP consultation. You will take part in three mock exams with a role player whilst being observed by an examiner, with the opportunity to also observe three cases. The course will conclude with one to one time with an examiner, giving you feedback on your performance along with a panel Q&A session with the examiners lead by Prof Rich Withnall, RCGP Chief Examiner.

MRCGP AKT Preparation Course

This one-day interactive course has been designed for those planning to take the AKT component of the MRCGP in October 2022 (ST2 and ST3, perhaps some in ST1). It will assist with your exam preparation and revision for the MRCGP AKT examination, focusing on high yield and difficult curriculum topics, including the topics trainees often forget to include in their revision and help with your exam technique.

Run by current RCA Examiners, this course has been designed for those planning to take the RCA component of the MRCGP (ST2 and ST3) to enable you to reach your maximum potential. It is a half-day online course with a mixture of lecture, discussion and focussed role-play to hone your consultation skills. There is also a pre-recorded presentation on better selection of cases for submission that is circulated prior to the course and is best viewed before the day itself. This allows discussion of any queries during the times for questions following presentations about the exam.
