Occupational health special interest group (OH SIG)

The occupational health special interest group (OH SIG) is made up of GPs who work in or have an interest in occupational health and wellbeing for GPs and GP registrars. We aim to provide support in managing the primary care workforce health and wellbeing so they may thrive at work.

Our aim

The group have identified that many outputs on managing workforce health conditions, disability and burnout are aimed at the secondary care workforce. The group’s intention is to redress the balance and ensure the occupational health and wellbeing of the primary core workforce is also considered.

Our objectives are as follows:

  • To work with other groups, stakeholders and organisations in researching GPs' occupational health experiences and needs;
  • •To source, produce and share materials on how best to support primary core colleagues at work.

Group outputs

The group is newly created, and we are in the process of producing a workplan. If you would like to get involved, please do get in touch.
