The RCGP health equity special interest group has been established for over 10 years and aims to ensure that achieving health equity for all remains a key area of policy and practice, with specific reference to the role of General Practice.

The RCGP Health Inequalities Hub is written by GPs who understand the challenges of supporting patients with complex needs from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. The Hub provides quick and in-depth resources to help you create the changes that make a big difference for primary care patients.

Upcoming Fairer Practice Toolkit

The RCGP’s Fairer Practice toolkit, which provides general practices with practical and actionable ways to demonstrate their commitment to reducing health inequalities, will be available in the College’s Health Inequalities Hub shortly.

If your practice is interested in using the toolkit, we would encourage you to register your contact details so we can provide updates and ask you about your experience of using the toolkit.

Group outputs

Key activities and resources have included:

  • Outputs that members of RCGP HISG have been involved with over recent years.
