Group members
Dr Ellen Fallows, group chair
Dr Ellen Fallows is an NHS GP with a post-graduate diploma in obesity management, diploma in Lifestyle Medicine, SCOPE certification and NNedPro certificate in Human Nutrition. She is also the vice-president of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

- Delivery of tailored Introductory certificate training courses.
- The nutrition and lifestyle special interest group has developed specific programmes that relate to nutrition and lifestyle.
- Zoe Williams and Andrew Boyd lead the RCGP Physical Activity and Lifestyle clinical priority programme.
- Rachel Pryke ran a 12 month RCGP Spotlight project on Multimorbidity that promotes awareness of how addressing shared chronic disease risk factors can improve care for people with several long-term conditions.
Aims for 2024/2025
- Support an RCGP conference on obesity with a focus on nutrition.
- Up-date bariatric surgery guidance for primary care in line with NICE.
- Create a list of primary care focused resources on nutrition.
